We stopped here briefly during a day tour of Dingle Peninsula and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I cannot explain the "rude" comments regarding the owner as we found him to be quite accommodating and …Full review by 607jayb

The huts were fascinating and great to see. Cost €3 euro each, which I thought was fairly steep. Owner was rude when we were inquisitive asking questions about the site. He shut his window in our fac…Full review by Belinda K

I am not sure when they open, but I would say by 9 a.m. Very casual entry. A small shack with a person collecting a couple of Euro's to enter. Sparse restroom facilities. Have to make sure you keep the door locked (from outside) when you leave so sheep don't eat the toilet paper. Allow about 1/2 hour for a visit. As you drive along the coast which is spectacular there are a couple of locations of beehive huts which are similar. This is a very low key tourist attraction. Found many small interesting places in Dingle. There is a prehistoric museum which is very fascinating takes about 1/2 to 1 hour to go through and doesn't cost much. Worth the visit and is along the same route you would go if visiting the huts.

The Beehive Huts are about 750 metres West of Dun Beag Fort on the Slea Head Drive, West of Dingle. The parking is on the Atlantic Ocean side and you need to cross the road to get to the Huts. It's a couple of Euros to get in. Unfortunately, we would have preferred to visit the Dun Beag Fort ruins, but it was closed when we were there in March 2018 as part of the Fort had apparently fallen into the sea.
Q:
Was is minimum time to spend here
A:
I actually drove by and just looked as we slowed down. I would say maybe 1/2 hour.
