I believe that is for the experience of behind the scenes feeding the babies in the morning. We just paid the standard fee for the hour tour and thought it was great. Canoe tour wasnt opeerating due to COVID but we were still happy with the price for what we got. Would recommend also visiting the Jaguar rescue centre down the road in Perto Viejo. Loads of baby sloths sadly but soooo cute.

We want to visit the sloth sanctuary, but want to know what available transportation out of Limon is there to either La fortuna, or Manuel Antonio? We want to fly from San José to Limón, then explore the rest of Costa Rica. Would love any recommendations. Thanks

I used a semi private transportation service called "Interbus" for major transportations from one hotel to the next - from one region to the next. You will find them on this site. I call it semi private because others can reserve/buy seats on one of their vans/buses, but they make sure you are picked up at a certain time at the hotel you are at...or as close to the hotel you are staying as possible and drop you off right at your next hotel...anywhere in Costa Rica. You should definitely visit the site as their pricing was very reasonable and they go all over Costa Rica and as many stops as you like. They were very easy to communicate with through email and they will work with you to advise you of pricing for each pickup and drop off. If the place you want to go is close by (within 30 minutes or less) it maybe worth asking your hotel to setup transportation for you - usually a local taxi.

Absolutely! It’s the only way to see the baby sloths and spending time in the nursery watching them was my favorite part!! How often do you have an opportunity like this? Also I read that powdered goats milk is very hard for them to acquire (idk why) and they need it to feed the babies. I brought 2 cans and got a big hug from the owner. I ordered it on amazon Meyenberg is a good brand. It was $10 or $15 per can.
