I haven't seen Lancaster Castle since childhood, so it was a nostalgic visit. Historical piece of architecture and some great photo ops, be aware of tour times while planning your visit.Full review by David M

The tour is not free. Eight pounds seems about right from what I can remember but there are concessions for the young and old. The tour is good value for money and is very interesting. …

The tour is not free. Eight pounds seems about right from what I can remember but there are concessions for the young and old. The tour is good value for money and is very interesting. You can access some of the exterior grounds and the cafe without an entrance fee. Lancaster Priory is next door, is well worth a visit and is free to enter.

Hi Shirley, when I went part of the tour was inside, you got to see the court rooms, but not sure if they usually show you more.
