Snorkeling and scuba diving sites can be found all around the Loreto area. Loreto's ocean area is a national park so there is a good level of protection. What might decide better as to what you might see and where you can go to see everything is "when", what time of year. June through November has water qualities that work best with snorkeling. Winter and spring has cold and murky waters that will not be enjoyable! You will have to contact the people at Sea and Land for prices. Explain what you want and they will make it happen for you. This is a very special place to experience all that the ocean has to offer. Every trip I have been on in this area was different! Too many things to even attempt to mention! The last snorkeling trip I was on with Sea and Land we first spent ten minutes with a Bryde's whale followed by groups of dolphin. Under water had to have been thousands of fish, starfish and sea snail species. Good luck!

The website shows what the Loreto area offers. I have done the Tabor Canyon hike, San Javier Mission, fishing, scuba, blue whale and Coronado Island trips. San Javier could be the first option if you only want to use your car. Gray whales at Lopez Mateos lagoon, in season could be done in your own vehicle, too. I have been happy with their services at Sea and Land.
