La Grave is a commune in the Hautes-Alpes department in southeastern France. It is a member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France Association. It is a small ski resort in the French Alps, dominated by La Meije. It was the birthplace of Nicolas de Nicolay; adventurer and Geographer Ordinary to Henry II of France.
