Very disappointed in their policies. They will still take money even from a child when they know they’re closing early for the day. My teenage son saves his paycheck from his part-time job to pay for…Full review by Kelli C

The reason I’m giving this 1 star is because of the food and “amenities”. Obviously it is what it is with Mt. Brighton. It’s very small with only a few runs and the condition is so-so. The bathrooms …Full review by MESpri

Hi, I have a couple questions: I would like to visit over Valentines Day with my husband neither of us have ever skied before! I saw on your website that equipment rental is available, do you rent the outerwear as well? Also, are there instructors, and if so, what would it cost for instructions, or are there packages available, also, anything that may include accommodations? Any info would be greatly appreciated, as we have no clue, but really want to give skiing a try! Thanks in advance, Jaime

I cant speak specifically to Brighton, but the typical set-up you can expect at a hill... You can rent skis, poles, boots, helmets, and snowboards. Clothing, you are on your own. First day out, you dont really need goggles, you wont be going fast, just sunglasses if its bright. Warm clothes and something that will help keep you dry when falling on the snow is ideal. It will be hard work the first day for sure, so that will help you keep warm as well. You can get into group or individual lessons usually, with group being the cheaper option of course. When I learned to snowboard, I spent a couple hours watching videos and reading online about how it all works. I think it made the first day go a lot better than for most folks I think. I spent about 2 hrs just figuring out how to stand on the thing and get my feet under me a bit prior to taking a 1 hr group lesson. Luckily, the group was 4 of us. I spend 9-12 days a year on the snow on average, and have ridden most of lower MI and Ohio as well as larger hills in northern MI, WV, NY, and VT. Completely hooked. Hope you have a blast!
