Please telephone the Burrell collection and inquire about the specific closure dates and times. Do not take a risk and just try to visit the collection as it may be closed.

I have only visited by car so I can't advise on transport options. However, I would thoroughly recommend a visit to see this wonderful and unique collection, which is housed in a modern, purpose built setting. I have never seen a collection of similar items anywhere else in the world and could have spent so much more time there. If you like visiting older, historical properties, why not combine the Burrell Collection with a visit to the adjoining Pollok House and Country Gardens? You can walk between the two very easily (15 minutes-ish in a pleasant and quiet country setting) and we found Pollok House and its guides very interesting and informative. Pollok House also has a very good restaurant/café, which is good for snacks and larger meals and are all home cooked. All in all, a good day out in the area and I will go back when I am next in Glasgow.
