Minnesota has plenty of room for improvement heading into Game 2, starting with the play of Anthony Edwards. The star guard went just 5-of-13 from the field and scored only 18 points in Game 1, and he is expected to play much better moving forward. Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has been fined $50,000 for using profane language during a media interview, the NBA announced Wednesday. Edwards’ comments came a during postgame media session after the Timberwolves’ 114-88 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals Tuesday night.

The Timberwolves are where they are because of their star duo of Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, the latter of which has shown appreciation for the other.
