And yet, Republican senators have delivered another surrender, this time in favor of one of the worst judicial nominations ever: Emil Bove, formerly Trump’s personal lawyer and for the past six months his enforcer in the Justice Department.

Judge Michael Luttig, a critic of Trump who sought to disqualify the 47th president, is leading a charge to torpedo Bove’s bid.
