Indianapolis Colts quarterback and former No. 4 overall pick Anthony Richardson received a positive injury update on Monday afternoon.

The Indianapolis Colts received encouraging news on the injury front involving quarterback Anthony Richardson at a time when the team’s quarterback room has been hit hard by injuries and unexpected roster moves.

Quarterback Daniel Jones is done for the season after suffering a torn Achilles, leaving the Indianapolis Colts with very few options under center heading into the rest of the year.

On Tuesday's episode of "Nightcap," Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco discussed Anthony Richardson's career in the league so far. They criticized him for "quitting" on his team while highlighting the tapping out incident last season, when the quarterback subbed himself out during a game against the Texans because of "fatigue."

Richardson is still currently on injured reserve. He was spotted at practice last week by media members in attendance. If Richardson does return to practice at some point, it remains to be seen whether or not he gets any in-game snaps during the final weeks of the season.
