A classmate went to Mississippi State, and we were stunned to hear him report back that the Bulldogs considered Arkansas their biggest rivalry outside of Ole Miss at the time. That was the late 90s, so Hog fans were just starting to get their bearings as to who was even in the SEC.

At SEC media days in July, Steve Sarkisian inadvertently described a good portion of college football in a single line. "I feel like when you go to Arkansas," the Texas Longhorns coach said, "I almost at times feel like they hate Texas more than they like themselves.

The Texas Longhorns have yet to secure a statement win in 2024, but Douglas Farmer believes that added motivation will propel them to cover the double-digit spread against Arkansas on Saturday.
