Gone from the room are three players that combined to play 41 games with 17 starts in 2024: Roy Lopez (16/16), Khyiris Tonga (13/1) and Naquan Jones (12/0). Lopez is with the Detroit Lions, Tonga with the New England Patriots and Jones with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The 38-year-old Campbell, a former Walter Payton Man of the Year winner and probable Hall of Famer with 110.5 sacks, was needed to reset the team culture.

Calais Campbell is back for at least one more season -- his 18th in the league. The 38-year-old defensive lineman is signing a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced on its website.

Calais Campbell was one of the Dolphins’ best and most inspirational players last season. Campbell, who is entering his 18th season, finished with 52 tackles last season, and 5.0 sacks.

The Dolphins have only one above average defensive lineman under contract, in Zach Sieler. They have a nose tackle, Benito Jones, who has consistently graded out among the worst in the league. Their only two other defensive linemen under contract are journeymen Matt Dickerson and Neil Farrell.
