Delhi's new Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was on Saturday approached by her predecessor and AAP leader Atishi for a meeting to discuss the early launch of a scheme of Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance to women - a promise made by the BJP during the Assembly election campaign.

AAP leader Atishi has sought a meeting of AAP MLAs with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to discuss the Rs 2,500 monthly aid to women promised by the ruling BJP earlier during the assembly poll campaign.

Former Delhi CM Atishi has highlighted in her letter that PM Modi had promised during the election campaign that in the first Cabinet decision, a scheme of financial assistance to women would be passed which didn't happen.
