A year after finishing as the runner-up for NBA MVP, Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has officially reached the pinnacle.
Gilgeous-Alexander, who led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 68-win season, beat out fellow finalists Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.
One player that will likely be staying in Denver during the offseason is Nikola Jokic, who put together arguably the best season of his career. Because of this, Jokic was a finalist for the 2024-25 Kia NBA MVP award which was announced on Wednesday night ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
