Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell released a guide to people's rights if they are arrested or witness an arrest by ICE.

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell released a "Know Your Rights" guide for immigrants and state communities due to "increased immigration enforcement activity," Campbell's office announced Thursday.

The coordinated sweep comes as ICE has vowed a “Second Surge” in Massachusetts as the Trump administration intensifies its crackdown on illegal immigration.

A man facing trial on child rape and other sex crimes was one of dozens rounded up this week on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, sources tell 5 Investigates, raising the likely prospect that ICE’s arrest will end his criminal prosecution without resolution for his alleged victim.

ICE may target those suspected of violating federal law, such as by overstaying a visa or entering the US without authorization, her office said.
