An air ambulance operated by an African medical charity crashed into a residential neighborhood of Nairobi, killing all on board and two people on the ground.

A Cessna Citation XLS jet operated by AMREF Flying Doctors crashed in Kiambu County, Kenya, claiming six lives. Authorities responded quickly to the scene, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

According to the BBC, the Cessna aircraft had departed from Wilson Airport on Thursday afternoon. It was en route to Hargeisa, Somalia, when it tragically crashed in a residential area of Githurai, a suburb of Nairobi. The aircraft reportedly burst into flames upon impact, setting some surrounding houses on fire.
