Wintry weather continues to close the roadway through Rocky Mountain National Park, according to the National Park Service.

The park lists Saturday, May 24, Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26 as "Red Diamond Days," when the Great Smoky Mountains National Park will likely have "heavily congested roadways and completely full parking lots at most destinations," based on historic park attendance data.

Public lands advocates worry visitors will get a misleading picture of parks and forests as staff scramble to keep up.
