Perhaps that took some of the edge off when the 2025 preseason All-SEC teams came out. Alternatively, it gave me a clear direction with my gripes. Not seeing certain players on those squads lit a fire under me.
Auburn was represented by six players across the three teams, with Cam Coleman and Keldric Faulk landing on the All-SEC First Team. Connor Lew, Xavier Chaplin, Eric Singleton Jr. and Alex McPherson all made the third team.
It’s no secret the rivalry has intensified in recent years. Over the last decade, the SEC has won six of the 10 national championships. Two were won by Clemson in that stretch but the last two were won by Big Ten rivals, Michigan last year and Ohio State in January.
