Residents across North Florida should prepare for a potentially stormy start to the week, as the National Weather Service in Tallahassee has placed the region under a Level 2 out of 5 “Slight Risk” for severe storms both on Sunday and Monday.

A few stronger storms will be possible for Eastern Texas Saturday afternoon, but for most of the region, the threat will diminish.
As the National Weather Service surveys storm damage from Sunday, another threat of severe weather is set to impact Indiana Wednesday.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - There's a Level 3 out of 5 threat for strong to severe storms across eastern Arkansas this Friday afternoon and night. In addition, a Flood Watch is in effect through early Sunday.
Hail from 1.25 to 2.25 inches was reported in areas west of Dallas-Fort Worth, where the impact from the morning storms was felt the most.
Timing still appears to be right on target. We’re pinpointing an arrival of the worst conditions around 8-9 p.m. If you’re up in Alachua, Marion, or Putnam counties, and you happen to be out around sunset you’ll probably start to see some lightning strikes and a pick up in winds around you at this hour.
The severe weather threat has moved out of Region 8, but the K8 Storm Team continues to monitor the widespread flooding.
And the severe weather threat is not over. The National Weather Service office in Memphis has issued a flood watch through Sunday morning. Saturday could bring flooding to multiple parts of the Mid-South.
