Darrell Green is set to take his rightful place among Washington football legends. The Commanders will retire Green's No. 28 jersey during the 2024 NFL season, the team announced Thursday.

Green's jersey will officially be retired on Oct. 20 when the Commanders host the Carolina Panthers. Over the weekend, Green was back in Canton, Ohio, for the 2024 Hall of Fame class ceremony.
