Last season, Goodwin joined the Lakers on a two-way contract in February, before being signed to a standard deal in March. With L.A., he appeared in 29 games and averaged 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds.

Goodwin earned it with a breakthrough season at Triple-A Syracuse, where he hit .284 with 11 homers, 62 RBIs and a .784 OPS in 109 games.
