KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Interstate 77 southbound on the West Virginia Turnpike near Dawes is closed after a tractor-trailer lost part of its load and a car crashed into the debris.

A crash shut down the southbound lanes of the West Virginia Turnpike Sunday evening, dispatcher said. Reports of the wreck came in just before 7:30 p.m. along Interstate 77 at mile marker 87.
