A male pedestrian is dead after a crash late Sunday night on I-40 eastbound, according to the Raleigh Police Department.
Family and friends are mourning the loss of 35-year-old Arun K. Sandram after he was hit and killed Sunday evening on I-40.
Officials report a high traffic impact near mile marker 179 in Davie County.
Police haven't said if anyone was hurt or when the crash will be cleared.
According to Highway Patrol, the crash happened on I-40 east at Mile Marker 286, northeast of Morrisville near North Harrison Avenue.
