Luka Doncic got emotional in his first game back in Dallas since being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in February. In fact, he couldn't even hold back his tears after the Dallas Mavericks played a video tribute for him before the game.
Luka Doncic's eyes welled up with tears during a pregame tribute in Dallas, and then he proceeded to dominate the Mavericks with a season-high-tying 45 points in an emotional 112-97 victory.
For the first time since the Mavericks re-routed Dončić to the Lakers, the Slovenian superstar returned to the American Airlines Center -- as a visitor. Los Angeles traveled to Dallas for a late regular-season clash with a little extra juice. It also marked his first time in the city he once called home.
