Brock Purdy is not playing in the San Francisco 49ers' Sunday game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Mac Jones is expected to start.
After Sunday's game Jones said playing through injuries is in the team's DNA. But you have to wonder how long that DNA is sustainable.
The Prime Video broadcast showed Jones scarfing down a banana with 2:52 remaining in the matchup, with play-by-play man Al Michaels pointing out that Jones was nearing a dozen bananas consumed during the game; Jones was battling cramping, as well as a lingering knee injury. "He's eaten about 11 bananas tonight," Michaels said.
Mac Jones has revealed his real name amid his comeback campaign with the San Francisco 49ers, and you won't believe it.
Jauan Jennings, WR, SF (ankle) is a game-time decision. He missed Week 5 with the injury. Kendrick Bourne had a big game last week when called upon with Jennings and Ricky Pearsall both out.
