A Grand Prairie resident won $2 million after buying a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket in Arlington last week. According to the Texas Lottery, the player bought the ticket at Ballpark Beverage on East Lamar for the Jan.

The most recent big Mega Millions winner was a lucky lottery ticketholder in Arizona, who struck gold on Jan. 18, winning a $113 million jackpot. According to the lottery, only four tickets matched all six Mega Millions numbers in 2024 – the fewest jackpots won in a calendar year since the game began in 2002.

Two Mega Millions tickets sold in Delaware and Tennessee just missed the $59 million jackpot but won $2 million prizes, lottery officials said. The tickets matched five winning numbers and the Megaplier, but not the Mega Ball, in the drawing Friday, Jan. 31, the national Mega Millions site said.
