A Macomb County man was pretty sure a Michigan Lottery scratch-off ticket was a loser, but he still scanned it to be safe - and it's a good thing he did.

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. — A Macomb County man who thought he'd bought a losing scratch-off ticket is still in shock after realizing he'd actually won millions. The 43-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his Magnificent Millions ticket at the 9 Mile Stop & Go in Warren.

The bill sponsor argues keeping winners anonymous would protect them from threats, scams and the possibility of being violently attacked.
