Just a day after we learned that the Spartans are losing one kicker in Tarik Ahmetbasic to the transfer portal, Michigan State football has found his presumptive replacement, landing a commitment from 2026 kicker Stephen Gonzales.

Fitzgerald hired longtime Iowa assistant LeVar Woods as special teams coordinator and assistant head coach and tapped Alabama’s Nick Sheridan as offensive coordinator.
