According to the FAA, a ground stop has been issued at O’Hare International Airport, with flights bound for Chicago being held at their departing airports. Flights are still active at Midway, according to the agency. The current ground stop at O’Hare will run through 4:45 p.m. according to officials, and ther is a chance it could be extended.
Immigration agents have been helping with security at O’Hare and other airports nationwide during the Department of Homeland Security budget impasse. President Trump signed an executive order Friday that will pay TSA workers.
At O’Hare, travelers have not seen significant delays, and security lines were not long and moving at a normal pace on Monday morning.
