Drum brakes have been around a long time, but they’re not irrelevant yet. The 2022 Toyota Tacoma has them, the 2022 Hyundai Accent SE has them, and even Volkswagen’s all-electric ID.
Disc brakes are much better ... on breaks to stop your vehicle as disc breaks are very powerful compare to old style drum brakes.
