Add pipe compound to the threads to make it easier ... just run the tubing to the floor near the fridge’s water line hookup. But do clamp the tubing to the fridge. Don’t forget to flush ...

Clamp the pipe between the cutting wheel and the guide ... Push the joint together until the copper tube seats at full depth. Wipe off excess flux with a disposable shop rag.
