The Hoad Monument is preparing for what is hoped to be a busy period as people make the most of the extended weekend.

The Hoad Monument lit up in blue and yellow on April 7, which will be done on the first Monday of every month going forward.

Organised as part of the Ulverston Music Festival, Ode to Hoad will take place in June and will also come with a two-course meal afterwards.
