July has been kind to Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies. He made the All-Star game and eventually won the MVP of the game, as he helped the National League in the "swing off" to finish the game. Now, Schwarber has made history. The 32-year-old went deep in the top of the fifth inning at Yankee Stadium to tie the game at 2-2.

During Friday’s game against the New York Yankees, Schwarber tied the game in the fifth inning with a two-run home run that marked his 1,000th career hit. His 319th home run became the most homers by any player when reaching the 1,000-hit milestone in MLB history.
