A 10-hour standoff between police and an allegedly armed man barricaded in a North Portland home ended Wednesday night with no shots fired and no injuries, police said. The tense encounter was the second of its kind Wednesday. In Old Town, a man who fired shots commandeered a TriMet bus and then refused to leave it, drawing a huge police presence.

A suspect was barricaded inside a home in the area of North Hudson Street and North John Avenue, with police asking people to stay indoors or stay away.

A Portland Police Special Emergency Reaction Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team are on the scene of a possible barricade situation in the St. Johns area.
