Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) called on the Federal Emergency Management Agency to deliver critical assistance to St. Louis, which was devastated by an unprecedented tornado that killed more than a dozen people Friday.
Anger continued to mount on Tuesday. City officials railed against Spencer. Families of those killed in the tornado said they believed the sirens could have saved lives.
On Tuesday afternoon, the City of St. Louis conducted a test of the emergency siren system, days after the sirens failed to go off in some areas before the May 16 tornado.
A group of nurses and community health workers with Affinia Healthcare went door-to-door Tuesday in north St. Louis checking on people and passing out necessities.
