MONTREAL — The Lightning’s Jake Guentzel had a goal and an assist to help the United States beat Finland 6-1 Thursday night in each team’s opening game at the 4 Nations Faceoff.

The Americans broke open what started out as a tight game, to beat Finland in their 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament opener.

The 4 Nations Face-Off continued on Thursday evening as the United States romped over Finland in their first game of the round-robin tournament. Following a slow start, the Americans exploded with a four-goal third period en route to a dominant 6-1 win.
