There is reportedly a clear favorite in the New York Knicks' search for their next head coach, although the process will only move along with the approval of team governor James Dolan.

After impressing New York’s brain trust during the first round of interviews, Brown has emerged as a front-runner to replace Tom Thibodeau.

The Knicks also reached out South Carolina women's coach Dawn Staley, but she is currently not considered a finalist, league sources said.
