It was a tough battle for the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night. They lost a hard-fought 127-117 ball game to the team with the best record in the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Missing Tyrese Haliburton from this contest due to a groin injury did not make things any easier for the Pacers in this one.
Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton and forward Aaron Nesmith are available for Thursday's game. Nesmith has been out since Nov. 1.
Haliburton (groin) will play Thursday versus the Pistons, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports. Haliburton will be returning from a one-game absence, and that's a nice surprise for fantasy managers since hamstring injuries are known to linger.

Lost in the fold of a dramatic game was wing Aaron Nesmith, who made his return after missing all of November and December with an injury. Nesmith started but played only nine minutes. However, he scored an efficient nine points and brought some needed defense against Cade Cunningham.
Indiana coach Rick Carlisle called a timeout after the Pistons pulled within 15 points. Indiana quickly increased the advantage to 20 at 84-64 on a 3-pointer by Haliburton and a layup by Obi Toppin. From that point, the Pistons started chipping away.
Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith's return from a left ankle sprain was a reminder of how easily he fits in the Pacers' style of play.
