MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers announced on Thursday, Jan. 16 that Brewers icon and Baseball Hall of Famer Bob Uecker has passed away at the age of 90. Reaction to the passing of Bob Uecker will come from around Wisconsin, the nation and the world. Mr. Baseball touched many, many lives.
Uecker played a prominent role in the movies Major League (1989) and Major League II (1994) as crass announcer Harry Doyle.
The 30-year-old Burnes — who is originally from California — moved to Arizona in 2018 when he played for the Milwaukee Brewers, partially so he could be close to the Brewers’ spring training facility. He and his family liked the area so much they stayed, and it was a big factor in his decision to sign with the Diamondbacks.
