Gloucester County officials said the New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit is investigating a crash on Route 55 for two fatalities.

Two people were killed Sunday in a crash involving several vehicles on a stretch of Route 55 in Glassboro, the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management said in a social media post. The crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway at mile marker 47.8, just south of Exit 48/Ellis Street.

A 19-year-old Delsea Regional High School student, a recent graduate, also 19, and a 17-year-old boy were killed in a crash that happened on Sunday afternoon along Route 55 in Glassboro, New Jersey, police said.

Brendan Cary, a student at Delsea Regional High School, and passenger Dominic Reyes, 19, a recent Delsea graduate, died following the crash on Route 55.

Three teenagers were killed in a crash on Route 55 in Gloucester County, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon that left several other people hurt.
