The eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Morris County, New Jersey, have been closed down and detoured to repair a sinkhole.
State Department of Transportation crews are using radar to examine the soil within that hole and in the surrounding ground on which the interstate sits.
Repair crews are continuing to work Tuesday on Route 80 in Morris County due to a sinkhole that later sustained additional damage.
Travelers heading west on Route 80 will also be affected by the sinkhole work at the end of the week, a local mayor said.
