Michigan, through no fault of its own, still hasn’t reached No. 1 in this season’s AP Top 25 men’s basketball poll. Michigan remained at No. 2 in Monday’s weekly update. Arizona stayed on top for the second straight week.

Improving to 10-1 on the year with an 82-72 victory over the UCLA Bruins in Seattle, Washington, over the weekend, the Gonzaga Bulldogs jumped up one spot in the Associated Press Poll to No. 7. The Zags received 1,109 total points.

No. 1 Arizona and No. 2 Michigan remain locked in place atop The Associated Press men’s college basketball poll.

UNC will be tested in its next game, traveling to Atlanta for a CBS Sports Classic matchup with Ohio State. The Buckeyes (8-2) escaped West Virginia in overtime Saturday, winning 89-88 for their third, one-point decision through 10 games.

Arkansas also finds itself in a strong spot within the SEC. Only Vanderbilt sits higher at No. 13, giving the league two teams in the upper half of the national poll. With conference play still ahead, the Razorbacks continue to build an early résumé that sets up the months to come.
