Deputies in Cumberland County spent hours Wednesday searching the gated home of missing Green Beret Clinton Bonnell.

At least a dozen law enforcement agents were taking part in a search Wednesday of the Cumberland County property of Clint Bonnell, missing since Jan. 27.

Agencies on Wednesday were searching the Fayetteville property of 50-year-old Clinton “Clint” Bonnell, a Green Beret who was reported missing in January.

A body has been found in a search for a missing U.S. Army veteran on Wednesday. A 50-year-old Green Beret went missing in January. Tragically, authorities have found a body in a pond nearby the house of the U.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a person whose body was found in a pond in a rural part of the county Tuesday afternoon. According to news release, deputies were called to the 4000 block of Gainey Road near McFayden Street about 2:30 p.m. The individual's name was not released.
