Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyökeres will refuse to show up for training today as he forces a move to Arsenal.
Noni Madueke is set to fly back to the UK from Chelsea’s FIFA Club World Cup camp in order to complete an Arsenal medical ahead of a £52m move. David Ornstein confirmed that the two London clubs had reached an agreement for the 23-year-old and he has already agreed terms on a five-year contract at the Gunners.
A deal for the 27-year-old striker is not done as discussions continue over the fee — but the situation is progressing towards a conclusion.
