More than half a million Haitians in the United States will face the threat of deportation in a few months, after the Trump administration revoked an extension of Temporary Protected Status that had been put in place by the Biden administration.

The Trump administration has announced it will remove temporary protected status for thousands of Haitian migrants, putting them on track for removal from the United States. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem vacated a decision made by the Biden administration to extend TPS for 18 months,

"We are not criminals… we are law-abiding citizens," community members said at a press conference in Little Haiti.
