Jalen Hurts bounced back from his worst NFL game by throwing three touchdown passes and Saquon Barkley added a 2-yard touchdown run as the Philadelphia Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak with a 31-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
If the Eagles clinch, they would be the first back-to-back winners of the NFC East in two decades. There has not been a back-to-back division champion since the Eagles won from 2001-04. Since then, all four franchises have won the division title at least twice, but never in back-to-back years.
Jalen Hurts and his Eagles teammates did what they were supposed to do. They beat a reeling team at home. With that, they move to 9-5 on the campaign. Days after Hurts produced a 31.2 QB rating and a 27.4 QBR, he racked up a 154.9 passer rating.
But against Las Vegas, Hurts was flawless, with zero turnovers. And even better, the Eagles (9-4) notched a win after three consecutive losses. The Birds’ South Philly beatdown of the 2-12 Raiders comes after averaging 16.2 points per game in the five contests since the bye.
