Vanderbilt basketball nearly blew a 19-point lead, but held on to win, 77-72, on Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. The Commodores got off to an excellent start in the first half, building up a lead as many as 19 points.

As a team, Ole Miss shot 41.7% from the floor, 32.1% from three-point range, and 86.7% from the free-throw line. Malik Dia led the Rebels in scoring with 22 points, followed by Sean Pedulla with 21 and Jaylen Murray with 10.

Ole Miss basketball was outrebounded in its loss to Vanderbilt, but coach Chris Beard also needs the Rebels to draw more fouls.
