Reese Witherspoon doesn't need backups, because she just cast the perfect actress to play young Elle Woods. This week, the Legally Blonde actress announced Lexi Minetree as the lead in the new prequel series Elle—and the two actresses look so similar it's almost freaky.

Elle Woods is bubbly, hyper, intelligent, gorgeous and loves pink. Reese Witherspoon is all those things as well, and it would appear Lexi Minetree, the actress set to play the iconic Legally Blonde character in the prequel series Elle, is too.

The mom-of-three starred in the sequel to the romcom, “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde,” in 2003. While reflecting on the 20th anniversary of “Legally Blonde,” Witherspoon gushed over how the film change the course of her life.
