Amazon.com (NasdaqGS:AMZN) recently announced the launch of its AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region, highlighting a $5 billion investment in data center infrastructure. This expansion, coupled with a $10 billion investment in North Carolina to bolster AI and cloud computing capabilities,

Amazon plans to invest over $5 billion in a cluster of data centers in Taiwan. The investment will support the launch of a new cloud services region on the island.

This year so far, AWS has launched new cloud regions in Thailand and Mexico, and in May announced it would invest $4bn in a data center region in Chile.
