Nissan Group announced Friday it will recall ... The issue is with the Occupant Classification System, the sensor that disables the passenger seat air bag if the seat is empty.

The recall includes 3.1 million vehicles in the U.S. and about 320,000 vehicles outside of the U.S. Nissan said it will either reprogram or replace the sensor, which is located in the seat frame.
